Joyeux Noel

'Jeunes et moins jeunes, Soyez tous très heureux, Joyeux, joyeux Noel'

This 5,600 square foot home, renovated and decorated by Chris and Wendy Neal, sits on half an acre of land backing onto the Aurora Highlands Golf Course. The Neal family has integrated their passions for travelling and collecting art into this warm and inviting 'Urban Chateau' that boasts grand architecture, craftsmanship, and contemporary décor.

From the moment you enter the classic centre hallway, you will be impressed by the attention to detail. Each room offers many focal points, including a Rock Therrien painting ('Le Duel') in the office, representing the long-time hockey rivalry between Montréal and Toronto. A stunning chandelier from France hangs in the dining room, and a painting of a Quebec winter scene suspends over the central stone fireplace. As you bask in the glow of the 'L'arbre de Noel', you will discover a well-appointed gourmet kitchen, the perfect space for a holiday 'Vin et Fromage' gathering. Be sure to notice the vintage Timothy Eaton Santa Claus suit, including mohair beard, in the main floor bedroom and the two Harley Davidson motorcycles parked in the garage which are also visible in the painting in the kitche, and commemorates 25 years of the Neal Brothers Foods business. Peek through the wall of windows and you will see mature trees, the expansive deck, and views of the beautifully landscaped pool area. It is no surprise that this home is regarded as such an inviting place for the Neals' friends and family (young and old) to celebrate 'Le Joie de Vivre' at Christmas and all year long.
