2014 FIRST Robotics Canada Waterloo Regional

2014 marks the 10th anniversary of the 2014 First Robotics Canada Waterloo Regional, hosted by the University of Waterloo. It took place from March 20th to 22nd.

30 teams played this year's game, "Aerial Assist" (YouTube).

Participating in their second regional this season, Team 865: Warp 7 from Western Technical Commercial School was chosen by the 2nd alliance, captained by Team 254: The Cheesy Poofs from Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California and playing alongside Team 2056: OP Robotics from Orchard Park Secondary School in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The alliance went on to win the regional, also setting a FIRST world record for most points scored in a foul-less match: 350. (YouTube)

All three teams will be attending the FIRST World Championships at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri from April 23rd to April 26th.
